
Appearing at Milimani Law Courts on 11th September 2026, the late former Cabinet minister and businessman Simeon Nyachae’s son, Michael Moragia Nyachae, faced charges relating to stealing contrary to Section 268 as read with Section 275 of the Penal Code. Michael is alleged to have stolen property valued at more than KSH 1.2 million from Sansora Group Limited.
He pleaded not guilty and was granted a cash bail of KSH 200,000.
According to the court documents seen by kauntinews.com, on diverse dates between 28 March 2019 and 28 September 2021 in Kisii County, he allegedly stole property valued at KSH 1,226,036 belonging to Sansora Group Limited.

Appearing before Principal Magistrate Carolyne Nyaguthii, his lawyer Hassan Nyakundi argued that his client was not a flight risk and urged the court to release him on minimal cash bail.
The magistrate subsequently released him on a bond of KSH 200,000 or a cash bail of KSH 50,000.
The case is scheduled for mention for pre-trial directions on 29 September 2026.
