A search warrant executed yesterday, August 11, 2026, at a Marigo Village residence in Cheptais Location led detectives to arrest Wycliffe Chesubei Ngeiwa (alias Chota) and Geoffrey Makwere Masai.
During the raid, officers seized a military-style smoke jacket, a stun grenade, three axes, a crowbar, three folding pangas, two pangas, two knives, five arrows, three motorcycles, two mobile phones, and an iPod.
The duo joins Oscar Koech Sakong, who was apprehended earlier after investigators pursued actionable leads.
All three suspects remain in police custody while detectives prepare them for arraignment and apply for custodial orders to allow for deeper probing.
The arrests stem from the night of August 8, 2026, when four men arrived on two motorcycles at Tuikut Trading Centre in Sasur Location, Cheptais Sub-County.
A pillion passenger entered the shop of 61-year-old businessman Nathan Masai Wasama and fatally shot him before escaping with his accomplices.
A woman caught in the incident also sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital in stable condition.
Detectives are pursuing further leads to track down remaining suspects, determine the motive, and construct a full timeline of the fatal shooting.
