On August 22, 2026, President William Ruto appointed Dr. Martin Koyabe as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Cybersecurity Agency. Mr. Koyabe has been serving as a member of the Diaspora Technical Working Group (DTWG).
Cybersecurity is central to Kenya’s digital future, and Koyabe’s international experience and technical expertise will be invaluable as Kenya strengthens its cyber resilience and protects its digital economy.
The decision has been welcomed by both Kenyans living in Kenya and those in the diaspora, with the leader of the DTWG, Danson Mukile, congratulating him via his X platform.
