Appearing at the Milimani High Court on July 22nd, 2026, before Justice Muteti, Ramadhan Molu brother to Aziz Duba, who was allegedly abducted by by men believed to be police officers delivered a harrowing and detailed account of the events surrounding his brother’s alleged abduction.
“On the 23th of June, I didn’t get a chance to see my brother,” Molu recounted. “We spoke through the phone. I called him around 5:30 in the evening.”During that brief call, Duba had shared his routine plans for the day.
He had recently purchased a piece of land in Juja Farm and had traveled there that afternoon to erect a fence around the property boundaries.
He was accompanied by friends who served as witnesses and were expected to assist him in signing the official Sales Agreement.“Around 8:00 PM, I received the news,” Molu told Justice Muteti.
“The witnesses who were with him at Juja Farm called to tell me that my brother had been taken. They said he had been arrested.”
When asked whether he could tell the court the names of those key witnesses present during the evening incident, Molu replied that, for security reasons, he preferred not to mention them.
“For now, My Lord, I wouldn’t want to mention their names,” he said. “They are afraid. But those who were with him will come forward and give their testimony in court when the time is right.”
Molu then continued, describing that his brother and his friends were returning from the farm when two vehicles approached them a white double-cab Hilux and a black Fielder.
He told the court that one of Duba’s friends saw the number plate of the Hilux, which was KDP, but he was unable to see the other numbers as they had laid down.
The witnesses were told to alight from their vehicle and lie down. Molu stated that the two vehicles had five people some in uniform (camouflage and jungle green), and others whose faces had been covered.
Molu explained that Aziz and his friends believed the five men were police because they were armed with guns. When one of Duba’s friends tried to raise his head, he was beaten on the head and sustained an injury that remained when they returned.
Duba and his friends were instructed to lie down. The armed men then asked who among them was called Duba. It was then that Duba raised his hand before being taken away.Further, Molu told the court that after their return, he took one of Duba’s friends who was with him and went with him to Juja Police Station to record a statement.
However, Duba’s friend was arrested by Juja police officers. Molu said, “We were then sent to Juja Farm, where I was told to write my statement.”
After completing the statement, he was told they would call him, but he has never received any updates since.
